I am FIFI – Fiona, a product marketer by day, mom to Karimi around the clock. Storytelling is my fuel, whether it’s crafting a product narrative or swapping travel tales over a glass of wine.
Born in China, educated in Europe and the U.S., and now living in sunny California, I am lucky to have seen all seven continents and over 60 countries , and I’m still chasing the next adventure (and story) wherever the road leads.

I’m NONO— Elvo. “Nono” means fat in Swahili, and yes, FIFI gave me that nickname after I got chubby during COVID… and now I stuck with it.
By day, I’m a hardware engineer and product designer. But don’t let the serious job title fool you—I’m silly at heart. Travel runs in my veins, and these days, I’m all about making memories with Tica and FIFI wherever we land.
Originally from Meru, Kenya, I studied at UCLA, lived in China (where I met FIFI), and now we’re back in the Bay Area—still designing, still laughing, still exploring.

I’m Karimi, or YiChen (that’s my Chinese name) or Tica, which is short for Antarctica. Why Antarctica? Apparently, that’s where I was “made.” I’m still waiting for the full story on that one…
When we first meet, I will judge you. It’s just my thing. But don’t worry—once you pass the vibe check, I’ll share all my favorite things with you. And by “share,” I mean I’ll feed you my favorite snacks… after I chew them for you. You’re welcome.
I’m all about water, painting, dancing, and playing piano like I’ve got tiny concert halls to fill. Not to brag (okay, maybe a little), but by 14 months old I’d already collected stamps from China, Mexico (three times!), France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Kenya.
